About this Blog

For me, teaching is not a job, or even a career; it's my chance in the world to make a difference, to really do something that matters.  Because of that, I want every lesson in my classroom to be engaging and enlightening and entertaining and wonderful.  But my best friend told me that great teaching isn't doing something spectacular all of the time; it's not about having the cutest anchor charts or the most creative new method to teach making inferences.  Great teaching is simply providing quality instruction every single day--and then, everyday teaching becomes something that is actually quite out of the ordinary.
That's what I want to write about on this blog; the everyday stuff that goes on in my classroom that maybe, just maybe, will one day add up into something great.
